Jorma Joutsensaari, D.Sc. (Tech.), docent<\/h1>\n

Jorma Joutsensaari received his Doctor of Science in Technology degree from Department of Physics at the Tampere University of Technology in 1999. He has worked as senior assistant since 2008, as research director at the Department Environmental Science in 2000-2004, as research assistant and Academy of Finland postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics in 2000-2004, and as research scientist at Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), Espoo in 1991-1999. He has held Academy Research Fellow posts of the Academy of Finland in 2006-2007 and 2009-2010.<\/p>\n

Jorma studied the synthesis of nanostructured and ultrafine particles via aerosol methods during his tenure at VTT.He has also studied combustion aerosols and developed new aerosol measurement techniques. Recently, he has developed novel methods to investigate organic aerosol particles and studied new particle formation in the atmosphere as well as in reaction chambers from plant volatiles.<\/p>\n

Dr. Joutsensaari has published over 30 original peer reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings on aerosol science and related areas.<\/p>\n
