Based at the Proton Synchrotron at CERN, this is the first time a high-energy physics accelerator has been used to study atmospheric and climate science; the results could greatly modify our understanding of clouds and climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"738\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/aerosol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2023\/08\/chamber.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/aerosol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2023\/08\/chamber.png 738w, https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/aerosol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2023\/08\/chamber-300x187.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/aerosol\/eurochamp-2020\"><strong>EUROCHAMP-2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EUROCHAMP-2020 is an environmental research infrastructure, funded by the European Commission. It aims at further integrating the most advanced European atmospheric simulation chambers into a world-class infrastructure for research and innovation. The project is composed by a coordinated set of networking activities, which deliver improved chamber operability across the infrastructure, as well as standard protocols for data generation and analysis.
