We have contributed to the project by providing samples from taxa that are rare in the British Isles and for which obtaining high-quality material is challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reference genomes produced by DToL from species collected in Finland to date include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A species of<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wellcomeopenresearch.org\/articles\/10-567\/v1\"><strong>flat bug<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>Aradus truncatus<\/em>)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wellcomeopenresearch.org\/articles\/11-167\/v1\"><strong>Jere\u2019s window fly<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Scenopinus jerei<\/em>)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pied-winged robber fly<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>Pamponerus germanicus<\/em>) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/datasets\/genome\/GCA_965601395.1\/\">genome completed<\/a>, publication forthcoming<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elegant robber fly<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>Cyrtopogon pulchripes<\/em>) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/datasets\/genome\/GCA_971800845.1\/\">genome completed<\/a>, publication forthcoming<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;Darwin Tree of Life (DToL)&nbsp;project aims to generate reference-quality genomes for all eukaryotic species occurring in the British Isles and Ireland.
