Assignments
The following assignments will contribute to a better understanding of the topics discussed in the lectures, and will help to a more comprehensive learning portfolio for the course. In addition, the individual contributions of each participant will help to the collective learning of the rest of us. The assignments will be gradually presented along the course.
Policy incentives in bioenergy markets
This first assignment aims to build a cooperative database of policy incentives on markets related to bioenergy.

Database maintenance
This second assignment aims to improve and maintain the database of assignment 1, by peer-review the submitted reports. It is therefore important that all participants of the course have already submitted the first assignment before starting this one. The pedagogic objective is that the participants of the course get familiar with at least two biomass production systems: the one they have created in the previous assignement (which is their choice) and another one created by some peers. By these means, all participants will expand their knowledge about this type of energy crops, in addition to those reviewed in the lectures.

Bioenergy governance
This assignment will present a study case of a conflict related to bioenergy markets. The definition of conflict, conflict scalation, stakeholders, and conflict management is defined along the lectures.
