The Second EACL Annual Conference on \u201cClimate Law 10 Years after the Paris Agreement\u201d, will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on 17\u201318 September 2026. The conference will be hosted by the Center for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law (CCEEL), Law School, University of Eastern Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten years after the Paris Agreement entered into force, the conference will take stock of its achievements, identify outstanding challenges, draw lessons learned, and assess the state of climate law across governance levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference registration fee is \u20ac50 for participants with an academic affiliation and \u20ac150 for participants without an academic affiliation. The fee includes access to the full conference programme, lunches and coffee breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the evening of Thursday, 17 September, participants are warmly invited to join the conference dinner. The dinner includes a three-course meal accompanied by two alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that participation in the dinner is optional and subject to a separate fee; it is not included in the conference registration fee. You can select the conference dinner option as part of your registration below. The dinner fee is \u20ac70 for non-EACL members and free of charge for EACL members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The conference will be held across three venues, all located within a 10-minute walk of one another: two University of Helsinki locations (Siltavuorenpenger 3 A and Unioninkatu 40, 00100 Helsinki) and Hotel Arthur (Vuorikatu 19, 00100 Helsinki). The venue for the conference dinner will be confirmed at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants are welcome to arrange their own accommodation according to their preferences. For a convenient stay, we recommend booking accommodation at Hotel Arthur, which will serve as the main conference venue. However, you are welcome to choose accommodation that best suits your preferences, as Helsinki\u2019s excellent public transport network provides convenient and easy access to the conference venues from across the city. If you plan to use public transport, you will need to download the HSL app: https:\/\/www.hsl.fi\/en\/tickets-and-fares\/hsl-app<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are arriving in Finland by air, the most convenient option is to take a local train directly from Helsinki Airport to Helsinki Central Railway Station. The journey takes approximately 24 minutes. Hotel Arthur is an 8-minute walk away from the Station (\u201cP\u00e4\u00e4rautatieasema\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
