Ensuring Energy Security in a Contemporary Global Context (2021-2024)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Investigator: Dr Kaisa Huhta<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, led by Dr Kaisa Huhta, examines the role of European Union law in addressing the justice dimensions of ensuring energy security in the global low-carbon transition. The project analyses the structure, interpretation and functioning of EU law in an effort to find alignment between the imperative of ensuring energy security and the theoretical ideal of energy justice. The research project develops theoretical energy justice criteria for law that enable the EU to achieve energy security in a just and equitable way without compromising the low-carbon transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research is funded by the Academy of Finland (grant 340998).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
