UEF Law School, in cooperation with the UEF Center for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law (CCEEL) and Marie Curie Doctoral network \u201cTraining for a Hydrogen Economy based Renewable Energy Society in the Anthropocene\u201d, is pleased to announce the call for papers for its 2024 international and European energy law and policy conference. The event will take place on 27 and 28 June 2024 in Joensuu, Finland.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The planned sessions include:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Global regional developments in energy markets<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Global developments in the power and gas sectors<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Energy crisis: reforming markets?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            EU Regulation of recycled carbon fuels and e-fuels<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Future of energy investment arbitration in EU and beyond<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Energy disputes post-Russian attach<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Towards carbon-neutral LNG: Legal and contractual considerations<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Regulating for a hydrogen economy based renewable energy society in the Anthropocene<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Developments in global energy and climate governance<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Role of law in the energy transition<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Strategic raw materials and the clean energy transition<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Increased automatization and AI regulatory developments<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            Global permitting reforms<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The above-mentioned sessions serve only as examples, paper proposals on other related topics as well are welcomed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paper submission:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An expression of interest should:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            take the form of a title and an abstract (100 – 200 words) and<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            indicate the name, institutional affiliation and contact details of the author(s)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for expressions of interest is 1 March 2024.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papers should:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            be in the range of 5 000 to 8 000 words;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022            indicate the name, institutional affiliation and contact details of the author(s).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for submission of papers is 16 April 2024.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
