Registration fees
Member of The Finnish Society for Childhood Studies:
- Conference fee – early bird fee 110€
- Conference fee – regular fee 140€

Non-member:
- Conference fee – early bird fee 130€
- Conference fee – regular fee 160€
- Student (PhD/undergraduate) – no presentation 100€
Online participation:
- Online participation – regular fee 100€

Dinner tickets (Thu 7.5.2026)

Payment of registration fees
- The payment can be made either by online or by an invoice. If you choose online payment, you will be redirected to online payment service after you accept the cancellation policy and press Register. After making the online payment, you will receive the confirmation of your registration and receipt to your email. If you choose an invoice, the invoice will be sent to the invoicing address you specified below after the registration period has ended. An office fee of EUR 10 will be added to the invoice.

Paytrail Oyj is a collecting payment service provider and an authorized Payment Institution working in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to the merchant. For complaints, please contact the website the payment was made to. Paytrail Oyj, Business ID 2122839-7
Cancellation and refund policy
Please note that all cancellations and/or changes to the registration must be made primarily through the link in the confirmation email you received at enrollment or by email: childhood2026@uef.fi
For registration and accommodation (cancellation or early departure), a fee of EUR 50 will be applied to all cancellations made by March 11, 2026.
No refunds will be made for cancellations made after March 11, 2026.
100% payment to be made if fees not paid at the time of cancellation. No-show is not considered a cancellation. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle to any refunds.
The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the conference. The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance.
The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such case, the organising committee will decide upon refunding of paid fees.
Accommodation
The conference organiser will arrange room quotas for participants at several hotels in Joensuu. Information about the hotels and room quotas will be published on this website.
