My\u00f6s rekisteritutkimusta tekev\u00e4t maisterivaiheen opiskelijat ovat tervetulleita. Kurssi sopii kaikille, jotka haluavat oppia ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ja arvioimaan kriittisesti l\u00e4\u00e4kealan rekisteriaineistoja hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 tutkimusta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yleiskuvaus:<\/strong> Suomen l\u00e4\u00e4kealan rekisterit ovat eritt\u00e4in kattavat ja korkealaatuiset. Niiden avulla on mahdollista vastata moniin tutkimuskysymyksiin ja ajankohtaisiin teemoihin. Mahdollisia ovat esimerkiksi l\u00e4\u00e4kkeiden kulutukseen, potilaiden hoitopolkuihin ja kokonaisl\u00e4\u00e4kitykseen, l\u00e4\u00e4kkeiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4miseen, hintoihin, l\u00e4\u00e4kekustannuksiin ja -menoihin, l\u00e4\u00e4kemarkkinoihin, apteekkien toimintaan sek\u00e4 l\u00e4\u00e4kepolitiikkaan ja j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4muutoksiin liittyv\u00e4t tutkimusaiheet. Kurssilla pohditaan my\u00f6s l\u00e4\u00e4kerekisterien mahdollisuuksia esimerkiksi vaikuttavuuteen ja kustannusvaikuttavuuteen keskittyviss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Osaamistavoitteet:<\/strong> Osallistujat saavat kattavan k\u00e4sityksen kotimaisista l\u00e4\u00e4kerekistereist\u00e4, niiden tietol\u00e4hteist\u00e4 ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6ist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mismahdollisuuksista ja haasteista. Kurssin j\u00e4lkeen osallistujat pystyv\u00e4t laatimaan aineistosuunnitelmia, jotka hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t l\u00e4\u00e4kerekistereit\u00e4, ja oppivat arvioimaan kriittisesti l\u00e4\u00e4kerekisteriaineistoihin perustuvia tutkimuksia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kurssisis\u00e4lt\u00f6:<\/strong> Kurssilla perehdyt\u00e4\u00e4n suomalaisiin l\u00e4\u00e4kealan rekistereihin, erityisesti Kanta-palvelujen Reseptikeskuksen ja Kelan etuusrekisteriin sis\u00e4ltyviin sairausvakuutuksesta korvattavien l\u00e4\u00e4ketoimitusten aineistoihin. Kurssilla k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n n\u00e4iden aineistojen tietosis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4, hy\u00f6dynnett\u00e4vyytt\u00e4 ja yhdistett\u00e4vyytt\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi kurssilla k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi rekistereiden tietojen karttumisen perusteita ja ensisijaista k\u00e4ytt\u00f6tarkoitusta, tietojen kertymisen polkuja sek\u00e4 rekistereist\u00e4 saatavilla olevien tietojen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n ja kattavuuden eroja ja yht\u00e4l\u00e4isyyksi\u00e4. Tietojen soveltuvuutta erilaisiin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6tarkoituksiin tarkastellaan todellisiin tutkimuksiin perustuvien esimerkkien avulla. Kurssilla harjoitellaan l\u00e4\u00e4kerekistereihin perustuvien tutkimusten aineistosuunnitelmien tekemist\u00e4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oppimateriaalit:<\/strong> Kansainv\u00e4liset ja kotimaiset tieteelliset artikkelit ja raportit, luentomateriaalit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suoritustapa:<\/strong> Ennakkomateriaaliin tutustuminen ja ennakkoteht\u00e4v\u00e4, luennot ja ohjatut ryhm\u00e4ty\u00f6t, aktiivinen osallistuminen keskusteluihin ja ryhm\u00e4t\u00f6ihin sek\u00e4 lopputeht\u00e4v\u00e4. The three independent lectures will focus on separate area of vascular biology, introduce state of the art concepts, methods overview, clinical relevance and brief introduction to ongoing research. The course will be journal club style mixed with semi-formal lecture. The course will broaden the learners\u2019 horizons, while stressing the importance of reading current journal articles and encouraging interaction and collaboration with other researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The course includes three (3) independent lectures with reading assignment and short manuscript review. Review should consist of strength, weaknesses (including suggestions for improvements), impact and relevance of the work.<\/li>\n<li>Final grade (pass\/fail) will be determined by participation and short written report of \u201cmock\u201d peer review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is hoped that learners will feel as though they\u2019re being talked TO rather than AT, this is a interactive course and interruption\/discussion of topic at hand are highly encouraged.\u00a0We understand that not all learners will be interested in delving into each specific topic, however, we hope each lecturer will be able to convey the importance of having a broad knowledge of the many interconnected systems that all contribute to cardiovascular disease.\u00a0Lectures should be interactive with Q&amp;A from learners.
