We warmly welcome new experts to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"mailto:DP-FOBI-mail@uef.fi\">Express your interest<\/a> by<\/strong> <strong>31 July<\/strong> and support the development of the next generation of researchers in forest-based bioeconomy.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About DP-FOBI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DP-FOBI brings together multiple disciplines under the <strong>shared theme of forest-based bioeconomy<\/strong>. The programme covers a wide range of research areas, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Forest sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chemistry and sustainable technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public health and clinical nutrition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Language, linguistics and culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/dp-fobi\/\" id=\"80\"><strong>Explore more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who are we looking for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking experts from the fields listed above and related disciplines. Joining the evaluator pool does not require an immediate commitment. It allows us to contact you when evaluation needs arise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We welcome two types of experts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scientific experts<\/strong> from relevant fields, at least at the level of an experienced postdoctoral researcher with experience supervising doctoral theses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intersectoral experts<\/strong> with expertise in relevant industry sectors and experience in industry\u2013academia collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evaluation tasks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Evaluators may be invited to participate in application reviews <strong>or <\/strong>interviews between <strong>September and November 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application review stage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessment of applicants\u2019 merits, CVs, motivation letters, and a two-page MSc thesis summary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using a numeric evaluation form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interview stage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessment of applicants\u2019 master&#8217;s thesis presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussion of research interests and motivation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using a numeric evaluation form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Research plans will not be evaluated, as applicants apply to <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uef.fi\/dp-fobi\/offered-phd-positions\/\" id=\"152\">provided research themes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Honorarium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Application evaluation: 20 \u20ac per application<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interview: 100 \u20ac per interview<\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guidance and support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All evaluators will receive detailed instructions and access to a recorded training webinar.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to express your interest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We warmly invite you to join our evaluator pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> <strong>31 July<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send an email to <strong>DP-FOBI-mail@uef.fi <\/strong>including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affiliation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Main research areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preferences regarding evaluation tasks and disciplines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A link to your professional profile, for example ORCID or Google Scholar (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:DP-FOBI-mail@uef.fi\"><button>EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST<\/button><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions about the evaluator pool, please contact the DP-FOBI team at DP-FOBI-mail@uef.fi.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\t<div id=\"accordion-block_b77c043663b7f3c66d1ffd8a4536cc15\" class=\"accordions\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion accordion-js\">\n\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion__button\" aria-controls=\"content-5058\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"accordion-control-5058\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"accordion__heading\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat happens after I join the pool? If a suitable evaluation assignment arises, we will contact you separately with further information and ask you to confirm your availability before proceeding.
