It ranked 1st in Spain in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scimagojr.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Life Sciences Research impact and Teaching Quality<\/a>, according to the Knowledge and Development Foundation Report in 2008. Regarding forestry, the institution specialises in Mediterranean forestry, forest biological conservation and physical protection and non-wood forest products.
