New means of diagnosis and treatment are needed to survive the challenges in health care.<\/p>\n<p>With long time established and successful experience in both research and researcher training, the GenomMed programme will provide the ESRs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>multidisciplinary research skills<\/strong> that will enable pursuit of an academic career and employment to R&amp;D positions outside academia<\/li>\n<li>increased <strong>transferable skills<\/strong> leading to employment in private and health care sectors, enhanced entrepreneurship, and academic careers<\/li>\n<li>increased <strong>innovation potential<\/strong> of individuals leading to creation of new health care products, services, treatments and more efficient health care processes, i.e. increasing the research and innovation output<\/li>\n<li>abilities to make greater <strong>contributions to the society<\/strong>, both helping the knowledge-based society and creating a meaningful life and career<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>Training in the programme is systematic, well-organized and developed according to the needs of trainees and requirements of the European employment market.
