DIAMES (Diabetes\u00a0Mellitus \u2013Exercise and\u00a0Stress)<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

DIAMES (Diabetes Mellitus – Exercise and Stress) research project provides answers to early stage changes in the cardiovascular system caused by diabetes mellitus<\/strong>. We investigate how daily exercise<\/strong> and stress<\/strong> affect glycemic variability and how these are related to early stage cardiovascular complications in diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research group brings together expertise from multiple disciplines providing strong foundation for research.<\/strong> In our research, we investigate the effects of exercise and stress on glycemic control by utilizing the current state-of-the-art technology for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and physiological monitoring. We conduct research experiments both in real-life environment and in the HUMEA-laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
