I start by introducing both investigative linguistics and language and law as the main branches within forensic linguistics, before delving deeper into forensic authorship analysis. During the talk I use famous criminal cases to explore the methodologies used in forensic linguistics.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/schools\/edacs\/departments\/englishlanguage\/research\/postgraduateresearch\/profiles\/roemling-dana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dana Roemling<\/a> is a doctoral researcher at the University of Birmingham. Their PhD research focuses on Geolinguistic Authorship Profiling, and they are interested in Authorship Analysis, Language and Law and Lavender Linguistics.
