Young Scholars Day

About Young Scholars Day 2025

The Young Scholars Day will be held in Joensuu, Finland on June 11th, 2025. Designed for masters, PhD, post-doctoral students and early researchers the Young Scholars Day provides an ample opportunity to enhance career and network opportunities in cooperative research.

The ICA CCR Young & Emerging Scholars Workshop is a one-day event designed to foster intellectual growth and collaboration among emerging researchers. Participants will engage in dynamic discussions, receive feedback on their work, and connect with peers and mentors from diverse academic fields. This interactive workshop offers a supportive environment for young scholars to develop their research skills, refine their ideas, and build valuable professional networks for future success.

Cooperative research is gaining prominence and urgency as it addresses challenges posed by traditional academic perspectives across fields like economics, management, agriculture, climate studies, and social sciences. Yet, the voices of cooperative scholars often struggle for recognition in various academic departments. Within this context, the YES workshop seeks to empower and connect emerging scholars who face this complexities in an expanding research domain.
