Transportation to Helsinki City Center

Trains from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Helsinki city center

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is served by the I and P trains, which run between the airport and Helsinki city center every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday. Trains run every 15 minutes on Sundays. The airport train station is located directly below the airport terminal and is accessible by lift or escalator.

Transportation to and from Joensuu

Joensuu can be accessed conveniently by either train or airplane.

Joensuu railway station is located about a 15-minute walk away from Joensuu City Center and a 30-minute walk away from the University campus. Both destinations are easily accessible by public transportation, taxi and rental car.

The conference venue: Metsätalo, Unioninkatu 4

Completed in 1939 for the University of Helsinki’s forestry department, Metsätalo merges classicism and functionalism. Located in the very heart of Helsinki, Mestätalo is a mere six minute walk away from the Helsinki Central railway station. In addition Metsätalo is easily accessible by either bus, tram, or metro.
