Globalisation, migration and pluralism are also challenging traditional assumptions about the common Orthodox identity of school pupils. How to share strong identity markers, such as a rich tradition, through education? Can the presence of a minority be made an opportunity rather than a challenge? What issues need to be considered from the perspective of educators and curricula?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OCREA was established at the Valamo Monastery (New Valaam), Finland on 31 July 2006. In 2026, it will celebrate its 20th anniversary by organising a commemorative conference on the above-mentioned theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keynote lectures at the conference will be given by: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>H.G. Bishop Bishop of Synada, Adjunct Associate Professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goarch.org\/-\/his-grace-bishop-anthony\">Anthony Vrame<\/a><\/strong> (Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, USA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/researchportal.helsinki.fi\/fi\/persons\/arniika-kuusisto\/\">Arniika Kuusisto<\/a><\/strong> (Helsinki University, Finland)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doctor <a href=\"https:\/\/ufind.univie.ac.at\/en\/person.html?id=1020208\"><strong>Yauheniya Danilovich<\/strong> <\/a>(University of Vienna)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conference fee<\/strong>: Early bird 75\u20ac, paid upon registration before 1 June. Late bird 95\u20ac, paid upon registration after 1 June.
