JEOS-RP Topical issue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

JEOS-RP has opened a Topical issue where the authors may publish (with reduced prices) extended articles on the results presented at the conference. Submitted papers should add a significant value to the field and they will undergo the standard review process of JEOS-RP. Submission deadline for this Topical issue is Dec 2, 2024. Papers can be submitted immediately or at any time until this date. Submitted articles will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and published online as they are accepted. More information can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Travel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Joensuu can conveniently be reached by plane, train, or car from Helsinki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plane<\/em>
There are daily connections between the Helsinki-Vantaa airport (the main hub in Finland) and Joensuu airport. The flight time to Joensuu is around one hour.  Please consult your travel agency for up-to-date information. Helsinki-Joensuu flights operated by Finnair will be available in the summer 2024 but the flight schedule is not yet known. The flights are expected to be available for booking latest in the beginning of April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Train or car<\/em>
The land connection between Helsinki and Joensuu takes around four or five hours. Please consult VR<\/a> for timetables and online tickets regarding train connections. Participants who arrive by plane to Helsinki, and who like to continue by train to Joensuu, may either go to Tikkurila train station or to Helsinki City train station (e.g. by local trains<\/a> or taxi).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Accommodation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Several hotels are located within a walking distance to the conference site.
