Presentation Guidelines
Please see the instructions for oral and ePoster presentations below.
In February, the final submission date and guidelines for submitting presentations will be announced on this webpage.
Introduction to Oral Presentation
Oral presentations are presented in Sessions. Each session is comprised of four presentations, each lasting 15 minutes (10-12 minutes for the presentation and 3-5 minutes for audience questions). The presentations will be held in English.
The co-chairs will assist in all situations. Chairs and co-chairs in the sessions will inform all the presenters about time and they are instructed to stop the presenter if they speak for longer than 15 minutes. In 15 minutes, you have good time presenting your study, project or development project.
We suggest that you practice your presentation beforehand to keep the timing. Technical guidance and support will be available during the whole conference.
- We recommend the use of PowerPoint and Slide Size of 16:9. In 10-12 minutes you can have from 8 to 10 slides.
- Use font size 24, maximum of 40 words / slide, and consider if you can replace some of the text with a picture.
- Please use dark font colors, so that people can read your text.
- In order to avoid technical challenges, do not use video or sound in your presentation.
- The file size should not be over 5 MB.
- You will name your presentation file in your last name and presentation date.
Presentation of ePosters
All e-posters should be prepared in English. e-Posters will be presented in a single seminar room, organized by theme and scheduled in timed sessions.
The preferred presentation format is a PowerPoint file with 16:9 aspect ratio format in landscape layout (horizontal orientation). Please ensure high contrast, text that is readable from 1.5–2 meters, and images with a resolution of 200–300 dpi.
It is recommended to use a minimum size of 19.05 cm × 33.87 cm (width × height), with a simple and clear font (e.g., Arial, Open Sans, Verdana) and a regular text size of 24-32 pt for the body of each section. The exact font size may be adjusted depending on the amount of content and the chosen layout.
All posters will also be published in thematic virtual displays on the conference website, and all participants can get familiar with them during conference.
Tips for making posters
- Use clear and legible fonts
- Less is more: keep text as concise as possible. Use a minimum of 24 pt for body text and 40 pt for titles. Avoid using only capital letters or excessive bold text.
- Clarity is essential. Avoid overly complicated diagrams, as they can be hard to understand on the final poster
- Use colors thoughtfully and sparingly
- Include only high-quality images that add value to the poster
- Check your poster carefully before submission. You may also ask someone else to review it.
