How can we build doctoral education that takes into consideration the diversity of doctoral researchers? Doctoral research is conducted under various funding models, both full-time and part-time. Doctoral researchers have unique backgrounds and they represent, for example, different nationalities, age groups, and genders. Doctoral research is carried out at different professional career stages, and the majority of doctoral researchers continue their careers outside the university. Additionally, the research fields vary significantly.

With these different perspectives in mind, we invite you to share best practices and generate new ideas regarding:

Evening to Enjoy! 8.10.2025

The previous evening on Wednesday October 8th, the hosts from UEF provide you with a monologue performance at 20:00 at Kuopio city centre. The perfomance is created by Salli Anttonen and Laura Kaljunen, and it is called “Katkelmia monologista Sekä että ­­– tosi tieteellinen stand up -esitys metamodernismista ja elämästä”. The performance lasts approximately 30 minutes and is in Finnish. The evening continues with informal conversations and networking. Please note that the event is not catered. However, you can purchase beverages at your own expense at the bar. All participants of Doctoral Education Day are welcome!
