The name \u2018VERA&#8217; comes from a combination of two Finnish words: \u2018Ven\u00e4j\u00e4\u2019, meaning Russia and \u2018raja\u2019, which means border, summing up the Centre&#8217;s thematic focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre organises or supports regular events, from small-scale workshops and Bitesize webinars to larger conferences.
