Hey female students and staff! We’re excited to welcome you to WOFE’s first meeting!
WOFE, which stands for WOman and FEmale(https://sites.uef.fi/wofe/), is a community dedicated to empowering women, fostering connections between students and staff, creating a supportive environment, and promoting gender equality in STEM fields.

We are thrilled to have a special guest speaker joining us, Koivula Sari, a climate expert who will share her inspiring journey from being a student to becoming an expert in the field of forest and climate science. She will provide valuable insights into navigating the challenges of academia, building a career in sustainability, and how to turn passion into impactful work. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others!
To make the meeting even more enjoyable, we will be offering tea and coffee throughout the session. Afterward, we’ll gather for pizza and an informal hangout coffee talk session. Please let us know if you’d like to stay for the pizza so that we can plan better. The meeting is also avialiable online but we’d love to meet you in person!
