25- or 30-year anniversary?

“Today the Ministry of Education has decided to establish the A.I. Virtanen Institute as in independent institution of the University of Kuopio on 1 January 1990. Ministry of Education, Cristoffer Taxell”

A.I. Virtanen Institute moved to the newly built Bioteknia 1 building in 1995 which is considered to be the starting time of the Institute’s activities.

Due to coronavirus situation the 25-year anniversary events were scheduled to be held in 2021.
