CECE is Research Center for Sustainable Circular Economy based at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and it brings together multidisciplinary research on sustainable circular economy, conducted in cooperation with Finnish and international research units.

Research

The Research Center produces knowledge on the circular economy as an economic, social and cultural transformation. Our projects explore circular economy solutions for plastics and microplastics, critical raw materials, sustainability change for businesses, cities and society, and social entrepreneurship.

Education

Research Center for Sustainable Circular Economy offers educational programmes designed to deepen understanding of sustainable circular economy, responsible business, and broader sustainability transitions in society. The programmes explore the circular economy as an economic, social, and cultural transformation, covering topics such as resource efficiency, sustainable business practices, responsible leadership, and circular economy solutions for companies, cities, and society at large. These educational programmes are suitable for both degree students and professionals seeking to develop their expertise in sustainability and the circular economy.
