Sustainability Leadership is a two-year Master’s degree programme that combines high-level teaching in business studies with working life-oriented educational objectives. The programme provides students with a carefully designed degree to empower individuals and organizations to take leadership in sustainability transition and meet today’s working life requirements related to sustainability leadership.

Core themes emphasized in the programme relate to topics such as circular and social economy, digitalization and sustainability, future leadership, and sustainable entrepreneurship. The study modes contain individual and collaborative learning, including expert lectures, interactive workshops, flipped learning, case exercises, and industry collaboration.

The programme is part of the University of Eastern Finland Research Center for Sustainable Circular Economy, which combines sustainability research in business studies and environmental policy with working life-oriented educational objectives.

This programme is offered by the University of Eastern Finland Business School, which holds AACSB accreditation in business. The AACSB accreditation is a globally recognised mark of excellence in business education and research.

The Master’s Programme in Innovation Management at the University of Eastern Finland offers students the opportunity to develop expertise in business renewal, sustainability, and innovation leadership. The studies combine theoretical understanding with practical working life skills and are conducted on the Kuopio campus.

The programme is organized by the Department of Business, which holds the internationally respected AACSB accreditation. It leads to a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration degree and is open to applicants with either a lower or higher university degree.

In the Innovation Management specialization, students learn to promote and lead renewal, identify new business opportunities, and assess their sustainability impacts. The studies foster both creative and analytical thinking and provide tools for customer-oriented business development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Graduates find employment in a wide range of expert, managerial, and leadership positions in both domestic and international organizations—often starting their careers as team and project leaders, and later advancing to demanding executive roles.
