UNIVERSITY OF EASTERN FINLAND, JOENSUU CAMPUS
Joensuu Campus is compact, and it is easy to walk between campus buildings. You will find relevant information of the campus here on the UEF Joensuu Campus webpage.
The conference venue is M102 in the Metria Building. The address is Yliopistokatu 7, Joensuu.
The conference dinner is held in Ravintola Filipof. It is located in in a historical building from 1862, address Torikatu 10.
HOW TO GET TO AND AROUND JOENSUU?
The city of Joensuu is located in Eastern Finland, about 440 kilometers northeast from Helsinki. The city can be reached by flying, train, and bus. The conference programme allowes you to take the 18.05 flight (Finnair) or the 18.13 train (VR) on Friday. Renting a car may be a convenient option if traveling from e.g., western or northern Finland.
The local bus (JOJO line 6) operates between the airport and the city center according to the flight timetables. It stops at the Yliopisto stop (Siltakatu) approximately 65 min before departure. You can pay your fare by cash or credit card.
Taxi services in Joensuu are offered e.g. Taxi Eastern Finland (+358 601 10100) and Kuopion Taksiykköset Oy (+358 300 301 111).
