HOW FAMILY BASED OPEN SCIENCE SCHOOLING HELPS (RE)ENGAGE YOUNG STUDENTS IN SCIENCE
The Family-based OSS project has endeavoured to take open science schooling to a new and much more sustainable and realistic level than the state-of-the-art open schooling. However, as open science schooling, in almost all parameters, contradicts and challenges
traditional science education, it can be expected that there will be many obstacles towards making open science schooling a reality. Based on lessons learned in the project, this study points towards and defines what parameters, topics, elements and challenges need further research and experimentation to move towards making open science schooling through family involvement a reality throughout Europe.
