We are in a need of a new logo!
We are thrilled to announce the ItäVä logo contest! An exciting opportunity for all of you to unleash your creativity and design skills.

At the general meeting this year, the association adopted a new name and now we are looking for a brand new logo to go with it. The drive for the name change was rooted in the latest recommendations to address ourselves as doctoral researchers rather than students. The name is derived from Itä-Suomen yliopiston Väitöskirjatutkijat (doctoral researchers of University of Eastern Finland). From Finnish, itävä can be translated as sprouting (it is the present participle from the verb itää). This name embodies our shared journey of growth and development as we navigate the world of research and academia together. Now, we invite you to contribute to the visual identity of ItäVä by designing a logo that captures the essence of our community.

How to participate?

What should I submit?
- Create a logo that embodies the essence of ItäVä and the doctoral researchers of UEF
- Accepted file formats are JPG and PNG
- Image width minimum of 500 px and height minimum of 500 px
- Maximum file size 20MB
The winning logo will not only become the face of ItäVä but also be rewarded with a 50EUR gift card to Suomalainen Kirjakauppa (which can be redeemed in all stores, including the online store).
