Presentations

The university seminar rooms are equipped with standard computer and data projector equipment. The computers in the presentation rooms use Office 365, so please use PowerPoint for your presentation. If your presentation includes video or audio files, we recommend embedding them in the PowerPoint presentation.

We ask presenters to bring their presentation slides or other materials on a USB stick during the break before their session. This ensures smooth transitions between presentations and avoids technical issues.

The organizers of the workshops are responsible for the arrangements of the workshops. The same equipment is available as in the section presentations.

Posters

The recommended size for posters is A0 in portrait orientation, but they may also be smaller. They can be put up, for example, during registration, and may remain on display throughout the conference.

The poster session will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the lobby of the Carelia building. Poster presenters should stand next to their posters during the session and be prepared to present their work.

Conference participants can vote for their favorite poster. The posters receiving the most votes will be awarded book prizes by the Finnish Literature Society.

The conference program will take place in two buildings of the University of Eastern Finland’s Joensuu campus: Carelia and Agora (map of the Agora building, pdf).

During the conference, you can leave your luggage for storage at Agora seminar room AG103, which is located near the Agoran info desk (map of Agora, pdf).

The poster session will be held on Tuesday, May 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the lobby of the Carelia building.

On Tuesday, May 19, the conference lunch break will be from 12:15–1:30 PM and on Wednesday, May 20, from 12:00–1:00 PM.

The conference dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 19.00 at Restaurant Kerubi. Registration for the dinner was done in conjunction with conference registration, which closed on April 24th.
