Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium

We’re delighted to have brought together professionals from various fields of epileptology to share and expand their knowledge on rare and complex epilepsies. The 2024 symposium marked the 10th in a prestigious series of epilepsy meetings organized by the Finnish Epilepsy Society, the Finnish Association of Pediatric Neurology, the Finnish Epilepsy Association, the Brain Research Unit (University of Eastern Finland), and Kuopio Epilepsy Center/Kuopio University Hospital, an EpiCARE ERN member.

Highlights included a dedicated Nursing Program and a Workshop on Biomarkers for Epilepsies and Neurodegenerative Diseases. For more details, click here.

We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation in our symposium and for the insightful Abstracts submitted. Our Collaborators and Supporters played a crucial role in the success of this event.

The symposium also provided a platform for the YES-ILAE activity for young doctors and researchers, including an abstract competition.
