WOFE, which stands for WOman and FEmale(https://sites.uef.fi/wofe/), is a community dedicated to empowering women, fostering connections between students and staff, creating a supportive environment, and promoting gender equality in STEM fields.

We are honored to welcome Ana Gebejes as our guest speaker for the 2nd WOFE meeting. With a compelling journey from a Computer Science student to a postdoctoral researcher in Photonics, she will offer a unique perspective on navigating interdisciplinary fields. Her talk will delve into the skills and mindset required to thrive in academia, and the steps to turn innovative ideas into meaningful outcomes. This event is an excellent platform to gain knowledge, engage in thoughtful discussion, and build connections with others!

To make the meeting even more enjoyable, we will offer tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the session. Afterward, we’ll hang out with a casual coffee talk session. The meeting is also available online but we’d love to meet you in person!
