1st meeting on Kuopio campus

Hey female students and staff! We’re excited to welcome you to WOFE’s first meeting on the Kuopio campus! WOFE, which stands for WOman and FEmale(https://sites.uef.fi/wofe/), is a community dedicated to empowering women, fostering connections between students and staff, creating a supportive environment, and promoting gender equality in underrepresented fields.

We’re excited to have Prof. Merja Heinäniemi as our guest speaker, who will share invaluable insights on her career path, from student to expert in Biomedicine and strategies for staying curious and motivated in a challenging field, and learn from her experiences navigating an interesting study area of cell and gene mechanisms. Also, we would have a chill and interactive Q&A, giving you the perfect opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with a leading researcher! This is your chance to connect, learn, and engage with a dynamic community while enjoying free drinks and snacks.

If you are from Joensuu campus, you can register the university transport leaves at 7am from Joensuu campus and back from Kuopio campus at 3pm. The seats for students are limited, please let us know if you are coming by university bus.
