Participate

You may be eligible for the study if:

  • You are helping, caring for, or supporting a family member or other person close to you who has a serious illness, disability, injury, mental health disorder or substance abuse problem, or who is very old
  • You are a young person or young adult aged 15-24
  • You live in Finland

The study will collect qualitative data over a period of four years. Once a year, we will interview participants and ask them to collect participatory data. Participatory data can be a written or audio diary, a lifeline, a social network map or photographs. It takes about 3-5 hours per year to participate in the study. A 60 € work allowance will be paid for each year of participation.

If you are interested in participating in the study, you can leave your contact details with the research team using the University of Eastern Finland’s secure REDCap form, and we will contact you. Your contact details will only be used by the research team. We will give you more detailed instructions on how to participate in the study when we contact you.
