Viitakko Seminar
Data Driven Research collaboration group organises annual Viitakko seminar series in Viitakko. The topic of the event varies every year, but the general idea is to have round-table discussions with interested parties within (and outside) the university. The event is invitation-only, but if you are interested joining, you can contact the organisers listed below.
Neural Networks and Deep Learning in Research, 7–8 November 2023
The 2023 Viitakko seminar discusses infrastructure, teaching, and other topics related to the use of neural networks and deep learning in research.

Tuesday, 7 November
- 11 am: Transportation leaves from campuses

- 1.30 pm: Keynote by Markus Koskela, CSC
- 2.30 pm: Coffee break
- 3 pm: Discussion and group work on infrastructure needs & services
- 5 pm: Dinner
- 7 pm: Sauna & free discussion

- 8 am: Breakfast
- 9 am: Discussion on teaching
- noon: Lunch
- 1 pm: Transportation leaves Viitakko
Problems and Solutions in Research Data Management, 21–22 November 2022
The 2022 Viitakko seminar discusses problems and solutions in research data management. The seminar is organised around group work on various problems and their solutions. Attendants can propose topics during registration, or at Viitakko.
