Novel multilayer graphene synthesis

The aerosol assisted induction annealing developed in the Fine Particle and Aerosol Technology Laboratory is an affordable method to produce large amounts of high-quality graphene. Graphene is one atom layer thick carbon sheet which has the unique combination of high surface area, high electrical and thermal conductivity and robust mechanical integrity of graphene.  In addition, the method is able to generate unique nanoflower graphene structure which is not obtained with other methods. The nanoflower graphene has very small number of defects compared to commercially available graphene. In addition, it has shown promising results in the application studies (e.g. electrochemical studies, inks, spray coating, thin films).
