The Pharmaceutical Physics Group (https://uefconnect.uef.fi/en/pharmaceutical-physics/) develops inorganic silicon-based mesoporous materials for targeted cancer therapy, Li-ion batteries, and adsorbents of dissolved metals. The group has a strong background in material characterization methods, including thermoanalytical methods, X-ray diffraction, gas adsorption, spectroscopic methods (e.g., XPS, XRF, EDS, and FTIR), and electron microscopy. The group also has instrumentation for thorough electrochemical screening of active battery materials.
