TUT – UEF Double Degree MSc Program in Computer Science and Engineering is two years Master’s studies program organized by the Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT), Japan and the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), Finland. The duration of the program is two years, which include one academic year of studies at the TUT in Toyohashi, Japan and one academic year of studies at the UEF in Finland. The studies include also a three months internship period, often in industry either in Japan or in Finland. At the end of studies you will earn Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering degree from the Toyohashi University of Technology and the Master of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of Eastern Finland. Students whose home university is TUT will begin their studies at TUT, while students from UEF will start their studies at UEF.
The field of studies is Computer Science and Engineering and the actual departments organizing the education are the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the TUT and the School of Computing at the UEF. The program has been organized in close collaboration and communication with the companies from both Japan and Finland. The companies will offer visits to companies, visiting lectures and MSc thesis projects including an internship period in the company. The specific fields of studies are closely related to the research topics in each university and the current trends in industry. The study fields include computational spectral imaging, visual perception and cognition, robotics, virtual reality technology, interactive technology and data science. The language of instruction is English.
