UEF10 jubilee year events
Joensuu 2.10.2020
On Friday, 2 October, the Lehtiä Ilosaaressa festival will rock the city of Joensuu, and UEF students can buy tickets at a student-friendly price of 10 euros!
UEF10 tickets are now also available for UEF staff!
The festival’s line-up features the Finnish artists Sanni, Evelina, Behm, Mouhous and Gettomasa. The festival starts at 18.00 at Joensuu Areena.
UEF 10 tickets are available to purchase stating on 11 September 2020 at the Student Union’s office or online at https://www.tiketti.fi/tarjous/lehtiaopiskelija. (in Finnish)
A service fee will be added to the price of tickets purchased online via Tiketti. UEF 10 tickets are valid only with a UEF student card/certificate of attendance, so please be prepared to show your student card. The number of tickets is limited to 2 tickets/person.

On Saturday 10 October, UEF students and staff have the opportunity to enjoy the Tämä on ryöstö play at the Kuopio City Theatre starting at 18.00. Please note that the play will be in Finnish.
We are offering the UEF10 theatre event to all UEF students free of charge. Please reserve your ticket here.
The ticket can be picked up in advance from the Kuopio City Theatre from Tuesday 6 October. It is recommended that you pick up your ticket in advance of the play, but if needed, you can collect it also on the day of the play.

Café Smart science cafés
The University of Eastern Finland ‘s Café Smart science cafés give the audience a taste of research-based knowledge over a cup of coffee. The science cafés are free of charge and open to everyone – welcome! Our researchers will be delighted to answer your questions. UEF10 Anniversary Celebration 20 February 2020
The UEF 10th Anniversary Celebration was held at the Kuopio Campus in the Snellmania Great Lecture Hall, Sn100, Yliopistonranta 1 E, on Thursday, 20 February 2020, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

For staff: UEF10 festival on 8 November 2019
The jubilee year was kick started with a staff festival held in the entertainment centre Hojo hojo in Tuusniemi in early November 2019. The festival line-up featured UEF bands and Dance Orchestra Lossimies. The university’s book of anecdotes, Idän jättiläinen, was also launched at the festival.
