The Darwin Tree of Life (DToL) project aims to generate reference-quality genomes for all eukaryotic species occurring in the British Isles and Ireland. We have contributed to the project by providing samples from taxa that are rare in the British Isles and for which obtaining high-quality material is challenging.

Reference genomes produced by DToL from species collected in Finland to date include:

A species of flat bug (Aradus truncatus)

Jere’s window fly (Scenopinus jerei) – genome completed, publication forthcoming

Pied-winged robber fly (Pamponerus germanicus) – genome completed, publication forthcoming

Elegant robber fly (Cyrtopogon pulchripes) – genome completed, publication forthcoming
