10th annual Energy Transitions Conference 2026

The UEF Law School, in cooperation with the UEF Centre for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law (CCEEL), and supported by the European Research Council and the Research Council of Finland, is organising the 2026 energy law and policy conference. Registration for the conference is open until 15 January 2026.

2026 Conference Theme: From Foundations to Futures: Bridging Scholarship and Practice in Energy Law

Planned sessions

We welcome submissions within the following themes:

· Theorizing and conceptualizing energy law

· Interdisciplinary and international approaches to energy law

· New trends and future developments in energy governance

· Low-carbon energy technologies and law

· From production to end use: law across different segments of the energy value chain

· Conflicts and conflict resolution in the energy sector

We welcome submissions focused on the overall theme of the conference, as well as on any other topics relevant to energy law.

Plenary session: Unpacking the Evolution and Future of Energy Law: Insights from Academia and Practice
