SGLT1

We are currently investigating sodium/glucose cotransporter 1 (SGLT1, SLC5A1) as a potential therapeutic target in cardiovascular diseases, particularly heart failure. By studying SGLT1-mediated transport processes and their alterations in disease, we aim to identify new opportunities for targeted therapeutic interventions and improved delivery of endogenous and therapeutic compounds, such as creatine.
