Welcome to the city of good living, joy and well-being! In Kuopio, distances are short and life is balanced.

In addition to its vibrant market culture, Kuopio is also renowned for its natural attractions. Kuopio is surrounded by the clear waters of the Kallavesi lake, with its stunning beaches and harbour. Just two kilometres from the city centre is the Puijo area’s primeval forest. From the Puijo Tower at the top of Puijo hill, you can admire the lake landscape of northern Savo from above.
