08:30-12:30 Seminars

The morning program starts with three seminars. First, the joint seminar held in English from 08.30-10.00, followed by a coffee break. At 10.30 am, two parallel seminars: a science-themed seminar in English (watch the live stream here: UEFlive1 | Itä-Suomen yliopisto) and a seminar in Finnish on the development of education in the Department of Forest Sciences.

12:30-18:00 Selforganised course lunches and other alumni events

More details on the side events are added to the website as the festive committee receives information about them. We kindly ask for the notification about the events to be sent to UEFforest40@uef.fi so they can be shared on the website. Course lunches and alumni happenings

18.00- 01.00 Evening party

The evening party will begin with speeches, musical performances, and interviews in the Carelia Hall. At around 8 pm, buffet dinner on the ground floor of the Carelia building, and a local cover band Suklaamunat will be playing live music after the dinner. By 01.00 moving to after-parties (optional) in the city nightclubs. Evening dress code: dark suite. Light artist Kari Kola is creating a festive light installation for the evening party premises.
