Professori Rie Thomsen
Rie Thomsen is Professor at the Danish School of Education, Career Guidance Unit at Aarhus University in Copenhagen, at University of South Eastern Norway and visiting professor at the University of Lower Silecia in Poland. Rie’s research revolves around lifelong career guidance practices and policies with a special interest on social justice and on the role of communities in career guidance provision. In 2012 she published the book Career Guidance in Communities. And in 2013 she was awarded with the national guidance award for her research and its usefulness for practice. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in creating an inspiring environment for critical and interdisciplinary research in Career development Guidance. Rie Thomsen is the scientific coordinator of The European Doctoral School for Career guidance and Counseling, ECADOC. Currently she leads the NOS-HS workshop series on The future of career education in the Nordic countries and self-governing areas https://peda.net/nordiccareered and act as a member of the editorial group in The Nordic Journal of Transitions, Careers and Guidance https://njtcg.org/.
In her presentation Rie Thomsen ask how career guidance interact with the everyday lives of people and their communities. Based on her book Career Guidance in communities she discusses the possibility to frame guidance as part of a community and not as an activity separate from it. Career Guidance in communities can be considered a social practice theory which advocates changes in perspective from the individual to the collective as the starting point for the development of guidance activities. As resources for guidance in many countries are suffering from cut backs discussions on how to invest resources become increasingly important. Engaging in existing communities and creating flexible forms of career guidance activities that allows for adaptation to meet the diverse needs of different communities might be a way forward. Also allowing the participants to influence the guidance process, so that they, together with the guidance professional, set the stage for new collaborative modes of delivery.
Professori Arto O. Salonen
Arto O. Salosen asiantuntijuus liittyy kestävään hyvinvointiin. Hänen lähestymistapansa on tieteidenvälinen ja tulevaisuussuuntautunut. Salonen työskentelee professorina Itä-Suomen yliopiston yhteiskunta- ja kauppatieteellisessä tiedekunnassa ja asiantuntijana Suomen kestävän kehityksen asiantuntijapaneelissa.
Professori Sanna Vehviläinen
Sannan tausta on aikuiskasvatuksessa, keskusteluntutkimuksessa ja sosiokulttuurisessa ohjausnäkemyksessä. Hän on työskennellyt monenlaisissa opetus- ja tutkimustehtävissä kolmessa yliopistossa (HY, TAU, UEF) sekä Työterveyslaitoksella. Hän on toteuttanut, tutkinut ja kehittänyt ohjaustoimintaa opinto- ja uraohjauksen, oppimisen ohjaamisen, opinnäytteen ohjauksen, työnohjauksen ja työkyvyn ohjauksen konteksteissa. Sanna on kokenut yliopistopedagogiikan kouluttaja ja työnohjaaja. Hän on toiminut myös ohjausalan yrittäjänä toiminimellä ’Ohjausosaajat’.
”Haluan kiteyttää ja mallintaa ohjaustoimintaa teoreettisesti ja käytännön toimintaa tukien sekä tutkia ohjausvuorovaikutuksen moninaisia seuraamuksia ja vaikutuksia. Päämääräni on rakentaa sellaista ohjaustoimintaa, joka tukee ohjattavien toimijuutta ja osallisuustajua, luo dialogisia tiloja maailmaan ja edistää sosiaalisen oikeudenmukaisuuden toteutumista.”
