You can choose to see a film during a parallel session. The journalist and filmmaker Päivi Kapiainen-Heiskanen from Finland has made a documentary film about the Halmeniemi Free Village School fight. It follows the activists who was running the school for two years on a voluntary basis. During those two years a special form of pedagogy – Pedagogy of Joy – was developed by the rector and teacher Juha Juurikkala in co-operation with the University of Jyväskylä and Ministry of Education.
