Call for abstracts 2026
Present your work at the Research Seminar on Effectiveness
The theme of this year’s National Conference of Effectiveness Research is Effectiveness Research in Times of Uncertainty. We are living in an era in which societal, economic, and ecological changes occur simultaneously, rapidly, and in ways that are difficult to predict. Pandemics, climate change, technological transformation, demographic shifts, and geopolitical tensions challenge decision-making at all levels. In this environment, traditional models of planning and implementing interventions and governance are no longer sufficient: decisions must be made in situations where both the problem landscape and the consequences of potential solutions are unclear.
In times of uncertainty, there is a particular need for research-based, risk-aware, and value-driven solutions that can withstand public debate, political pressure, and economic realities. Research does not provide ready-made answers, but it offers the foundations for making well reasoned and responsible choices. This is precisely why the role of effectiveness research becomes central.
We are looking for 15-minute oral presentations and posters on topics related to effectiveness. Presentations can be based on ongoing or recent research. We welcome qualitative, quantitative, theoretical, and methodological approaches to effectiveness. Presentations related to experimental and intervention studies are also welcome. In addition, presentations on research and development projects can be proposed (NOTE: separate guidelines for abstracts). Proposals for full thematic sessions (including workshops) are also welcome.
Assign your proposal to one of the following thematic sessions:
- Effectiveness of care and health services
- Implementation research
- Methods and settings for effectiveness research
- Evidence-based practice and recommendations
- Effectiveness of decision-making and legislation
- Effectiveness of social work and social services
- Effectiveness in promoting well-being and health
- Own session proposal
