Education and Training on Effectiveness at the University of Eastern Finland

The University of Eastern Finland offers comprehensive education on the effectiveness of social and health care and their integration on Kuopio and Joensuu campuses. Education is offered for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students and doctoral students, as well as in professional development training and Open University education.

The Faculty of Health Sciences educates and trains experts and professionals for several central fields of health care and well-being. Education is offered in programmes of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, biomedicine and health sciences (clinical nutrition, ergonomics, exercise medicine, nursing science and public health).

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies offers multidisciplinary education in the academic subjects of such as L Social Sciences, Social Work, Health Economics, Social and Health Management Sciences as well as Health and Human Services Informatics. Education meets the needs of working life and offers our students extensive career opportunities in various expert roles.

In addition, Aducate – Centre for Training and Development provides continuing education and Open University education in the field of health and wellbeing, as well as project and expert services for various needs. The services provided by Aducate base on the expertise of the faculties. The central partners in cooperation of Aducate include the faculties, departments, schools and university teaching staff. Aducate promotes the principles of lifelong learning at the University of Eastern Finland.
