DIAMES
DIAMES (Diabetes Mellitus –Exercise and Stress)
DIAMES (Diabetes Mellitus – Exercise and Stress) research project provides answers to early stage changes in the cardiovascular system caused by diabetes mellitus. We investigate how daily exercise and stress affect glycemic variability and how these are related to early stage cardiovascular complications in diabetes.
Research group brings together expertise from multiple disciplines providing strong foundation for research. In our research, we investigate the effects of exercise and stress on glycemic control by utilizing the current state-of-the-art technology for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and physiological monitoring. We conduct research experiments both in real-life environment and in the HUMEA-laboratory.
