National RDI-forum

National Ecosystem for Effectiveness Research, Development and Innovation: From Volume- to Value-based Health and Wellbeing Services (RDIWELL)

Health and social services defined private and public partnership, is facing severe challenges nationally and globally. However, we are lacking interdisciplinary forums and actions bringing together researchers and key stakeholders from the public, private and third sectors to share effectiveness, research-based practices and methodologies in RDI benefits.

To support the shift from volume to value-based health and well-being services, the country’s leading universities and institutes on effectiveness research as well as key national social and health stakeholders aim to form a National Ecosystem for Effectiveness Research, Development and Innovation: From Volume to Value-based Health and Well-being services (RDIWELL). RDI-forum focus on interdisciplinary research, consisting of methodological, theoretical and data-driven approaches, implementation and practice research supporting evidence-informed decision making and management in health systems and policies.

The main objectives during the funding period are to

  1. Create an open and permanent national RDI-forum to promote the networking of researchers, policy makers and various business actors in a way that broadly serves the needs of private and public industry,
  2. Increase the knowledge of effectiveness of services and interventions and the benefits of using the effectiveness data among national, regional and local social and health care actors, and
  3. Facilitate a new RDI platform for effectiveness expertise by combining interdisciplinary researchers, policy makers and various business actors to co-create, pilot and implement the new research proposals and business innovations that rise from the RDI-forum.
