Axel Kaehne
Professor

PhD Axel Kaehne was born in Berlin (Germany) and educated at Free University and Humboldt University. He subsequently studied at Aberdeen University and the University of Wales. He settled in South Wales in 1996 and currently lives in Liverpool. He is Professor of Health Services Research at Edge Hill University Medical School and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Integrated Care and the Journal of Health Organization and Management. Axel is also a member of the Advisory Panel of the Leadership Observatory NHS England and a member of the Bevan Funding Committee of Health Service Delivery Research at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
Minna Kivipelto

Minna Kivipelto on työelämäprofessori Jyväskylän yliopistossa ja johtava tutkija Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksella. Hän on tutkinut sosiaalityön vaikuttavuutta, sosiaaliturvaa ja ollut mukana kehittämässä aikuissosiaalityön vaikuttavuuden arviointimittaria (AVAIN). Hän on kiinnostunut siitä, miten vaikuttavuustietoa voidaan hyödyntää hyvinvointialueilla palvelujen kehittämisessä ja johtamisessa. Kivipelto on European Social Services (ESN) Social Services Index (SSI) työryhmän jäsen, jossa tehdään vuosittain maakohtaiset, sosiaaliturvaa koskevat suositukset Euroopan komissiolle.
José Luis Fernández

Dr. José Luis Fernández is a prominent researcher and academic affiliated with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He holds the position of Associate Professorial Research Fellow and serves as the Director of the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at LSE. Additionally, he is the Director of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Adult Social Care (ASCRU). Dr. Fernández’s research expertise lies in the fields of health and social care economics, with a particular focus on long-term care, ageing-related policies, and the integration of health and social care systems. He has extensively studied and evaluated funding systems and service productivities in these areas. His work often involves economic evaluation and the use of simulation modeling to analyze the impacts of various policies and practices. In 2010, Dr. Fernández co-founded the International Long-term Care Policy Network (ILPN), which aims to foster collaboration between academics and policymakers in the field of long-term care. His influence extends beyond academia, having advised key organizations such as the English Department of Health and Social Care, the UK Treasury, the European Commission, and the World Health Organization. Throughout his career, Dr. Fernández has contributed to numerous high-profile reviews and policy inquiries, including serving as a specialist adviser to the House of Commons Health Select Committee’s Inquiry on social care. His work is widely recognized for its impact on shaping policies and improving the understanding of care systems both in the UK and internationally.
Hanna Tiirinki

Hanna Tiirinki on terveystieteiden tohtori ja hyvinvointipalvelujärjestelmän dosentti. Hän työskentelee sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon turvallisuustutkinnan johtavana tutkijana Onnettomuustutkintakeskuksessa (OTKES) sekä työelämäprofessorina Turun yliopiston sosiaalitieteiden laitoksella. Hänellä on pitkä kokemus sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon palvelujärjestelmän käytännön kehittämisestä ja arvioinnista sekä alan tieteellisestä tutkimuksesta painottuen palvelujärjestelmän integraatioon, asiakaslähtöisyyteen, laatuun sekä asiakas- ja potilasturvallisuuteen. Erityisen kiinnostuksen kohteen ovat palvelujärjestelmän erityisominaisuudet, johtaminen, toimintamallit sekä turvallisuuspoikkeamista oppiminen.
